Where can we set up a tailgate within walking distance to the stadium?

Price doesn't really matter, just want to have a nice area to drink and play games, walk to the stadium, walk out at halftime, and then walk back.

Thanks in advance

You can pretty much do that in any of the lots, most of which are within walking distance. Be careful of the open containers, however. Not sure how that will be treated this season.
Spaces will be at a premium for the game, I feel.

Right but is it first come first serve? Is there a map? What time do the gates open? Can I call somewhere in advance?

Don't wanna show up with all the tailgate stuff and be stuck

Football parking map: http://www.ohiobobcats.com/footballtickets/parking-map.html

The lot on University Terrace (behind Clippinger Laboratories) is probably the closest option for game-day parking. Another good option is the lot in front of the Ping Center.

I think the lot immediately next to Clippinger is the closest. On that map, that is the upper right "GP" shown. The "GP" to the right of Clippinger is on the far side of the new dorms, or are there still lots between the new dorms and Clippinger??? Either way, both those lots aren't super-quick walks from the stadium... Like most places, the truly close lots are reserved for those with the parking passes.

Sidebar: South Green Drive looks AWESOME between the new dorms and the IPF. Imagine South Green Drive + the Academic Center. WOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!!

Visiting parking is tough. Prepare to be frustrated by empty lots you are not allowed into. But, don't let it ruin your day. Keep you alcohol in cups and you'll likely be left alone.

Are you inferring that there's been discussion of "cracking down" or something?

Are the lots up at The Ridges available on game days? A former co-worker/Marshall fan asked me for my thoughts on parking, and I told him to try up there since everyone seems to forget about it.

I hadn't considered until now that those lots might not even be open.

Not sure if they will be open, but regardless the Clippinger lot has a much better game day atmosphere I think.

I've always thought the Ridges could be a pretty awesome/unique tailgate atmosphere with some effort put towards building that scene up. As it stands now, not sure there is much going on up there on gamedays. Isn't the RV parking supposed to be up there? You would think with the RV's there would be some tailgating. With the views on town, that could be a really cool setup. The walk to the game would not be bad, but walking back to the ridges after the game would not be fun.

Agreed, but Clippinger always fills up quickly. He was looking for easy in/easy out and didn't mind a walk.

But if we put a gondola lift on Victory Hill, how will we ever expand Peden to 50,000 seats?
