It has been said on here before and I will say it again. Peden would really benefit from some fresh paint and new signage on the concourses and some significant upgrades to concessions.
Are restroom lines as much of a problem on the tower side as they are on the student side? I had to warn my wife and sisters that the women's restroom line was at least 50 long (maybe longer?) spilling throughout the concourse in the 2nd Q.

The men's restroom clearly moves faster, but the facilities are almost embarrassingly past their prime. Can't imagine it'll be a cheap fix, but I wonder if a plumbing/restroom update could be on the horizon.

I wonder if there has been any thought towards making South Green Drive 1-way from Peden heading towards Stimson post-game. Two lanes heading that way for one hour after the game could really help clear traffic although I guess then it bottlenecks at Stimson.
I'm sure something like that would take a lot of manpower from OUPD and Athens PD. But heck, there is already a lot of manpower dedicated to traffic post-game.

They do this in downtown Cleveland after Browns games. It helps.

How about another roundabout at South Green Drive and Richland? Wouldn't that be fun?
It would improve the traffic flow considerably. Remember when the Richland/682 intersection was one of the worst and most dangerous in the state?

I was scratching my head when they made me turn left out of the Orange lot. But once everyone kind of figured out what was going on it worked out well. Except there appeared to be a Lakefront Lines bus that wasn't having it and was trying to get to Richland. Three police officers were trying to board with one screaming at the bus driver to turn into the Peden lot (I guess so he could be ticketed). I saw the bus driver's face and he wasn't really buying into that. Not sure how that worked out. But in my mind, they were probably Marshall fans anyway.

Not sure how it is more efficient to go uptown as opposed to going on S. Green Drive and to Stimson. I thought that was why they built the road to connect in the first place?

That's the way I was directed out (to Stimson) and it worked great. Heavy police presence after every stop sign waving people through. Good way to move a lot of cars out of the area.

So we should pay a bunch of cops to direct people through uptown versus S. Green Drive to be more efficient? Seems like a waste of money and resources when we spent a bunch of money on S. Green Drive to serve that purpose.

Just imagine how much a gondola up to the Ridges would ease congestion.

I'm fairly certain I was on South Green Drive. I definitely didn't go uptown. Maybe I'm missing something. I assumed the cops were there to help people learn.

I went on South Green Drive took a left on Mill St. and then a right to Stimson and then on to the highway. They were "signs" (paper from a desktop printer) taped to the barricades showing the way to 50/32. It was foggy and you could barely see them. Many cars just bailed left whenever they could. I followed the signs and got right out.

roundabouts are awesome. The only problem with roundabouts are people who can't grasp the concept.

Anytime I approach a roundabout, I say in my head, "Fortune favors the bold," because that is exactly how you are supposed to handle one. Don't wait for traffic to clear, because it won't. Just go, and it'll be fine.
Count me among roundabout fans. There are quite a few east of Cleveland. And I've driven them in England, Wales and Ireland. In Wales there are so many so close together that once, when I knew I had exited incorrectly, I was confident that I could get us back on track within a mile at another roundabout. My confidence was confirmed.

I agree regarding a fresh coat of paint in the concourse. I like the "charm" of Peden but that is more the exterior of the stadium and the field, not the interior concourse area.
The concourse, restrooms and concessions are all poorly lit, cramped and overall just feel old. The "cramped" issue would probably take a renovation to fix, as would probably the restrooms and concessions, but the lighting and feel could at least be improved a little with some minor aesthetic touches. I've always felt the same about the Convo. Paint those blue bathrooms green!

I don't know how we contract out the food vendors, but the idea of going local would be HUGE for gameday atmosphere. Professional stadiums all over the country seem to be upgrading the concessions offerings. I think we are due.

Don't get me started on the damn blue bathrooms in The Convo...
