I have enjoyed this yearly game with the Herd. No other opponent has created a game, year-in, year-out, with more interest.
However, after watching this game tonight, I think it might be a good idea to put this series on a temporary hiatus. It doesn't get any uglier than what we saw in Peden tonight.

That's what happens during rivalry games. Rivalry games are not for the faint of heart. Bobcat's need this type of preparation. Good stuff. Go Bobcats

We need to win those pick'em up and drag'em out games. When rivals play dirty the team needs to stand together in solidarity. Sometimes a back alley game gets a team going.

I'm ok with it only because we won. If we had lost, that would've been a long three years.

Unfortunately it may take some time to rekindle the rivalry among the players. Four years from now there will be few players -- maybe a couple redshirts -- and maybe no coaches who were part of these past seven games. We fans will remember, but it may take a couple games to gin up the rivalry among the players.
