...and what is their deal!? I can't tell if it's hyperbolic trolling or a full display of the after-effects of CTE.

I don't know. But I think every college football message board should have at least one poster who has completely lost grip on reality.

He has been around a long time, used to be fairly regular but has quit the board a few times. He is a passionate Bobcat and a knowledgeable guy, but a feisty one. And sadly he has shown no ability to be civil with those who disagree with him. He has brought up this whole P4 vs G5 thing and game payouts before, I am not sure why he decided to go full speed ahead the week of the MAC Championship.

He is a Spanish adventurer who rides a horse named Rocinante. His best friend is Sancho Panza. They, like our incoming president, are not fond of windmills.

Also, he ridiculed the Convo's new "Bobcat Black" seats when they were introduced several years ago but now has two of them for Men's BBall games.

Bobcat Love is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. His struggle is man's struggle. He transcends time and space.

You merely adopted the dark. He was born in it, molded by it. Didn't see the light until he was already a man, by then it was nothing but blinding.

Ask oldtimers here about the Life on the Road BBQ in New Albany at BL's pad near the end of the TOS Era. I was there, but I'll let others characterize it.

Just a friendly reminder for the group: It's not me!

I chose my moniker a long time ago, and it just happened to be very similar to his.

I personally enjoyed the sarcasm filled "Love focuses on the positives" thread after a frustrating basketball loss, in which he said something like "peak level comfort in the Convo today, we truly have the best HVAC team in the MAC."

Thru it all, his schtick has always been he aggressively demands excellence and prominence, and any of us that just accepts and celebrates mediocrity (or what he perceives as mediocrity) is part of the problem and deserves to be ruthlessly mocked.

Or what he perceives as "acceptance" which is anything less or different than what he believes

Maybe it's time to let Monroe back on the board...I think it's time to go to DEFCON ONE.

Love having Bobcat Love back on the board. He stirs the pot which can create controversy which often makes for fun reading. I say pop the popcorn and enjoy the show, but if you choose to engage wear a cup.

If he would quit trying to sell dog bags - whatever that is - that would definitely cause some dust ups as well

When Monroe was posting I stopped visiting the board.

On the other hand, I look forward to reading Bobcat Love posts and ensuing debates. The dude puts butts in the seats.

I never had a problem with Monroe. He was a man of strong opinions. Sometimes I agreed with him, and sometimes disagreed, but that's fine. I think everyone is entitled to their opinions. Like anyone else, he was right sometimes, and wrong sometimes.

As for his doggie bags, I am pretty sure he no longer sells them.

I got some rants. I recognize that he was opinionated, but I respect that.

The answer is clear - If we win the MAC Championship, we let him back in. 90% of his posts were about us NOT winning one.

It might be that time is making me forget, but I don’t remember Monroe being anywhere near as annoying as Bobcat Love. The man is insufferable.

I like it. I just can't remember, was he "We need BIG MANZ" or "Run it up the middle again????" or both?

I've always thought Love to be a great guy with great pride in our university.

This is a very important point: for the first time since I’ve been following Ohio Bobcat sports, we have a chance to legitimately compete for a national championship in football and basketball. What, you say? Seriously, it’s right in front of your face. $20 million that OSU spent. You don't think if we spent $20 million we would join the conversation? Look at SMU.

We just need “that guy.”

We have a lot of dedicated alums out there. We need the vision to up the ante. This is literally the only time Ive been alive we have this opportunity.

More Love equals more fun. Been lurking here since I had a Compuserve dial-up account. Back when we sucked at everything people like Love, with their passion, wit, sarcasm and syntax, made this place entertaining. Used to enjoy how a thread could drift into the weeds. I guess I never posted in the past because being someone who hung out in the Engineering Building I was a little intimidated all the journalism majors.

So, go Cats! Miami does suck. Tim Albin for Coach of The Year.

.. Look at SMU.
...

Combine Texas oil money with the most elitist University in the State, one that serves the ultra-rich of Texas, and which is located in it's own mini-town, University Park, located in the middle of Dallas and you have...um...a university with so much money to spend on sports that it got the death penalty for continued rules violations, a university that can still spend as much as it wants to on sports. I hate to think how big their NIL pool might be.

Is that a role model that Ohio can realistically pursue?
