As I've said 1,000 times on this board. THEY DON'T WANT TO PLAY EACH OTHER IN THE NON-CONFERENCE. They need these home, winnable, non-conference games. They need them in the standings, for the playoff, for their communities, and for their fans. Get paid accordingly, stop doing this for pennies on the dollar OR stop playing these games altogether.

If SMU needs a game against a non P4, the price is minimum $5 million. THEY CAN AFFORD IT. The G5 has to stop whoring itself out at some point.

They tell you every day - yet nobody listens. Breach of Fiduciary Responsibility.

You don't think the Ohio Bobcats are in a position to demand $5M from SEC schools?

The first thing they teach you when you're starting a company is that you should set your price in a way that that's completely independent of your own offering, does not consider what your competitors charge, and instead is a sliding scale based on how much money your customer has.

On sales calls, when a customer asks you for a price, you should say "hold on, I'm reading your company 10k and will get back to you."

That's just BUSINESS.

How long ago did your company file for bankruptcy?

My company is doing great, thank you very much. I run a consulting firm that works with the Iowa State athletic department to help them understand how paying 5x for a game the Playoff Selection committee values in no way will help their ranking going forward.

When there is legal collusion - you collude with the 5 other peer conferences and start making impactful change.

Or you sit on your ass waiting for Arkansas to call you about coming back as their AD……

There was supposed to be meetings in Dallas between the G5. Immediately after, the Mountain West tried to raid the other 4 partners. Either the leadership is weak, or, the leadership is weak.

Explain legal collusion to me as it relates to setting the price of something.

Have you looked at the payouts for the College Football Playoff and how the Big 10 and SEC divided the pot?

You are a moron.

You are currently ranting in three threads, aggressively wrong in all of them, and touting how smart you are while using simple words/concepts incorrectly.

1) Explain what "legal collusion" is
2) Explain how the College Football Playoff revenue share is collusion

"With the ACC, Big 12, SEC, and Big 10 presiding over the decision, The College Football Playoff has decided to eliminate the one CFP spot previously given to the highest ranked Group of Five team, and award that spot to the next deserving ACC, Big 12, SEC, or Big 10 team."

That doesn't answer the question, and that you think it does just makes me more certain you don't know what "collusion" means.

This might help: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/co...

But, I guess your plan involves "legal collusion" so that's different. Excited to hear the details.

I believe that participation in the CFP is completely voluntary so if you don’t like it, you can leave-right? And what would make you think that the G-5 even deserves what they get? (27% of basic distributions - before all the participation payouts)
I don’t think the other conferences have much bargaining power -but apparently you do. Let’s see what happens.

Mr. Dunning and Mr. Kruger would be so proud of you, Bobcat Love.

I can't think of a more ironic subject title as, I too, am falling into this trap by responding to this thread.

Yeah, because it is a business. B-Love is like a Mexican trucker, he’s got a decent message, just good luck trying to organize the other truckers to make a stand.

Iowa State has this figured out then. Because the narrative here is price yourself out of any revenue.

When some folks wanted the college football playoff, others stated you may not want what you wish for.
