Wow, some kids are getting really bad advice. If 1000 kids ended up voluntarily leaving a college scholarship behind to end up with nothing, that's sad.

I don't think everyone in the portal had a scholarship.

As of today Kurtis is the 33rd ranked QB in the portal.

Will probably get a solid lower P5 offer based on his talent level from last year - similar to Grayson McCall, but might have to compete as well.

I'm not sure I would leave my situation behind to go compete for a starting spot - but I think many of us discount what it means for some of these kids to really get one last sniff of "big time" college football.

Does anyone know if Harris has another year of eligibility?
Harris has at least 2 years of eligibility remaining and could receive an additional year for a medical redshirt if he applies and receives it. The bigger question is what exactly is he dealing with and "can" he return.

He's better than half of those guys. This "rating" is about as exact as recruiting rankings. Meaning - who gives a crap.

Not really. It's college football. Players graduate, now players transfer. Sucks to lose him to the portal, but now it's time to see what the young guys can do.

Interesting to see that we're mostly being hit on the offensive side of the ball. I guess they figure they should test the market when their stock is high after a juggernaut year on offense. Oh, wait...

But this isn't done. I could see Cox, Reynolds and Adonis going elsewhere. Brawley too. OUr DB's had a very nice year. Losing our two LBs already hurts and several D-linemen. We may have a whole new team next year. I think Rourke is going for NIL money, not a chance at glory at a big D-1 school. He was a bit off this year and looked tentative. I hope he gets his mojo back wherever he lands.

I believe he does but I would rather get a different QB from the portal.

I wish him luck, but I'm not going to follow him. If he winds up going to the CFL or NFL, I'll root like he'll for him, but just transferring to another school...nah.

Though none of these guys care what I think, I wish I could see the transfers listed in two ways: one for those who graduated and one for those that did not. For any player who received his degree from OHIO, I will continue to root and pull for them. The ones who were here and left, I'm indifferent to their performance from here out. If Kurtis, during his time, walks away with a degree, he's a Bobcat for life.

How many of us (with further degrees) went elsewhere for graduate school? Does that change our allegiance to OHIO?

When you have teams like Akron in your conference and this year we must include Kent and Buffalo, it is hard to ever be any higher in the schedule difficulty rankings, even if YOU are a higher caliber. Having said that, Albin had a very respectable team this year. First time we ever had back-to-back 9-win seasons. You just cannot ignore that. We are playing as well as the "average" P5 team. I think we have shown that.

Nice! I love the job Dave Clawson did with BG and now WFU. Certainly a down year for Wake this past year but he's a very good coach.

Cross is the #50 WR
Walton is the #83 WR
Rhone is the #139 WR

They're leaving en masse because they're not super excited about the direction that sleepy 100th ranked offense has taken.

Chickens have come home to roost.

Interesting. That was one of my theories. The slow play offense and playing to "not lose" mentality. I wondered how they felt about it. A friend of mine swears that is why.

No way! Ohio will be right in the mix for the MAC Championship again. There's still a lot of talent, more will be coming, and everyone is losing top players like this, it's not just Ohio. Ohio will be just fine next season.

No, they're leaving for the chance to make money and play for bigger and better schools/programs.
