That is impossible. They blew the whistle before they threw the flag.

Can't have a Mac school win on homecoming at a big 15 school. Game over.

Terrible prevent D at the end. We did it to ourselves

Looked like Frank took some time to decide to kick FG - thought that was were off. Commented on chat that the time management of getting play in was issue.

Great game by Cats - put themselves in position to win

They called it on Yaz for kicking the ball after the timeout. If they let you ice right at the snap, they shouldn't call that though.

Still doesn't top the 4 yard line safety.

You wonder how crazy conspiracy theories get started? This is how. I don't believe in conspiracy theories, but there is a reason for why they are believed. In all my many years of watching football, I have never seen that happen!

I believe it was the correct call. But I have never, ever heard of that being called. Unthinkable. It's like calling a chinstrap violation on the final play. No one ever calls that.

The muff into the endzone should not have been a touchback either.

Agreed. This was a hometown call and nothing more. I cannot believe he called that.

True, but that's my yard stick for bad calls. :)

I'm not sure Yaz could've hit from 53 with his groin injury but he should've had the chance. Delay of game is never, ever, ever, ever called in that situation. It took a FG try completely out of the equation. Yet another example of B10 refs always willing to give the break to the B10 team.

We really lost it through the penalties on Minn's last drive. I think we had four the entire game up to that point, and we about doubled that on Minn's final drive. Still, a great effort by the team today in an incredibly hostile environment. I wish our crowds would stay after halftime like that.

I wonder if having Polling on that last drive would have made a difference. Give Minnesota credit, they made the plays on the last drive though.

The chances of him hitting it were slim to none, honestly. But to remove the chance on that call is atrocious.

I told my wife Solich blew it when MN was at our 6 yard line by using a time out because we are going to need it. What do you know we return it to the 45 and an extra time out would have definitely changed the play calling if only he had listened. It turned out the time out was wasted with off side and a quick TD anyway. Seriously, The coach should have been thinking we will have .30 seconds if they score and everyone watching knew they would score.

Absolutely. In fact, when Minnesota got inside the 10 and had all its time outs, we needed to use ours to stop the clock when it was RUNNING, not when it was already stopped. We needed as much time as possible for when we got it back and controlled our fate.

Bad clock management today.

Agreed we certainly made our fair share of mistakes, but the fact of the matter is two controversial calls will have to be addressed. As I stated in my previous post, never in all of my many years of watching football have I ever seen the final sequence of events occur. It is my hope that the MAC front office at least makes the Big Ten release some sort of statement, it is the least they can do. It won't change anything, but it might make the folks in Rosemont, suburban Chicago (Big 10 HQ) squirm a little.

I never want to blame the refs for the output of the game but that call was mad sketchy, yo. Also, when we had them on their own 6 and the QB through that 30yr pass on 3rd down one of our defenders was literally tackled right before he got to the QB. Like guy flying through the air, wrapping arms around him and dropping him type tackle. Right in front of the ref, no call.

First time I ever saw Solich throw his headset away in disgust after jawing with a ref.

I think that the better team won in the end, and I also agree that it was unlikely that Yaz can make it from 53, but this call boggles my mind. I have seen kickers iced many times, and I've never seen this call before, ever.
