My sister-in-law is Dianne Vots. She was born in Arkansas, moved to Ohio at age 10, graduated from Ohio where she was one of my 1967 classmates. She and her family moved to Georgia in 1981 where she made her career in education administration. Her husband Dick died unexpectedly less than two months before her sister Lynne - my wife - also died unexpectedly. Tough time for Dianne.

She retired this past June.

Tomorrow she is flying north. Reason #1: get her first in-person look at her new grandniece, Serena Lynne, my granddaugter. Reason #2: Join me and my daugher Andrea (Ohio '94) for Homecoming on Saturday. This will be Dianne's first visit to campus since 1990.
