After losing to #12 Oklahoma State by 2 points and #3 TCU by 7 points in the most recent consecutive weeks, Kansas State lost to #15 Oklahoma 55-0 at home yesterday.

The previous close losses were all mirage. Nothing is salvageable for the Wildcats. Their team is awful. Their cupboards are bare. They'll never win a conference championship again. Their 76 year old hall of fame head coach must go.

FUN FACT: In 2009, the Bill Snyder coached Kansas State Wildcats lost to Texas Tech 66-14. The very next week they beat a Texas A&M team that would finish with 6 wins and a bowl appearance 62-14.

For OHIO's loss to WMU to be similar to your thesis, OHIO instead of playing Akron and Miami would have lost painfully close to Toledo and BGSU and then thrown 3 picks vs WMU in the route (no turnovers for OHIO which is unusual in a blowout butt kicking). Perhaps the close losses by KSU took a lot out of them going into the Oklahoma game. OHIO however, had it easy going into the WMU game.

Allegedly.

Analogies are not literal translations. Apples and oranges can still be compared on the basis that they both are fruit.

S#!t happens man.

+1

Glad to see you back, TS, and adding some sanity to this sometimes insane place.

Yeah, welcome back, ts. We need more people who can't think or reason or make a fair analogy or give a fair representation of the truth (such as including all those in-MAC BLOWN OUT losses over the past few years).

I think the what you can fairly pull from that is it is just one game. We'll know within a few weeks if that one game was a more accurate representation of what Ohio is and Ohio only looked good because the opponents were bad. Or if the five before that were more accurate and Ohio just had a bad half.
