If there was a game Ohio could pick to have an oops game its a game against Western Michigan. Bowling Green is handing Akron its second loss today. Buffalo was crushed 51-14 by CMU so I'd have to think next week is at least winnable. That sets up the game against Bowling Green for the MAC East title. Then Ohio finishes with Kent, Ball State and NIU. Toledo should beat BG so if Ohio can beat Kent and Ball State that would be enough to win the East. There are some injuries but enough depth that it shouldn't be an issue.

There are still five MAC games left this season and anything can happen.

BUT we can't afford another performance like today.

With a little under 10 minutes left in the game, BG is up on Akron 56-10. We beat Akron by how much? And with about 12 minutes left it is 2-4 Nebraska leading Minnesota 38-14.

We can share today's score with Chuck Landon... then remind him of the Marshall score.

Final score Nebraska over Minnesota 48-25. With the win Nebraska is now 3-4 on the season. Also, BG beats up Akron 59-10. You can do the math from there.

Even if we beat BG (which I think is a pipe dream after yesterday)....we would still need to win at NIU....another doubtful outcome in my book

BG might lose to Toledo and WMU, but I wouldn't count on it.

I for 1 believe that our coaches will make some adjustments that will show next week. A WIN NEXT WEEK WILL HELP RIGHT THE SHIP.
On the injury front I am not as concerned about Papi as I am about Polling. We have many very good RBs', not as many LB's as good as Polling.
I'll be watching for the injury reports this week.

Of course the Cats will win this week. Buffalo is awful. Winning games vs. awful teams is how we have an opportunity to buy tickets for kids to the Boca Raton Bowl.

With our key injuries we are a different team than we had the first six weeks of the season. Poling and Papi were two of the weapons making this years team special.
I am not sure about Buffalo. WMU made it look so easy. In past seasons games like WMU's dominance have been a turning point of our season.
I hope I am wrong.

We still control our own destiny in the MAC. After yesterday, it certainly doesn't feel like that means much, but the season is not over.
