I have seen fans waving a green State flag. I would absolutely love to get one of these!!! I have OSU fans to the left and right of my house. Does anyone know where they may be acquired? I checked out College Book Store and Follets, but to no avail. Thanks and GO CATS!

I had two of them custom made by the Flag Lady's Flag Store in Columbus. One was presented to the athletic department for the O Zone and Matt Morton found it for the team to run onto the field behind.

I prefer the actual State of Ohio flag. No reason to let A&M think that they own it. They don"t!

There are 12 other Division I programs that can run behind the state's flag.

This is not about one of them.

This is about taking that flag and transforming it to reflect ourselves.

With all due respect, I think your avatar and that flag looks tacky. I cringed when I saw the team come on the field with it. We are the state's oldest university and we bear the state name. We have more right to use the state flag than any of the johnny-come-lately institutions. Let's not desecrate it.

+1 I am not a fan at all of changing the State Flag in any representation.

If BTC amd I are on the same page here, there must be some validity to the points we are making. We don't always line up on the same side of an argument as frequent posters here know. Now, if Alan Swank would agree with us, it would be like Jupiter, Mars and Venus all lining up together to form the Holy Bobcat Star over Cutler Hall and would be a sign of divine agreement of our position. ;-) OK, Alan, where do you stand on this issue?

We have a state flag and it's red, white and blue. If someone wants to buy a bastardization of that, go for it but it looks rather tacky in my humble opinion. Now if you want to fly one in WV like 695, that's another story.

I liked this flag the first time I saw it.

Having read this thread, I guess I'll need to make sure this flag accompanies me the next time I go trampling lawns.
