As the greatest year in Temple football history turns into its greatest week, i wanted to take a moment and thank the MAC for taking us in and helping us on the amazing road but specifically Ohio. The matchups and rivalry with Ohio were the first to really feel like our team was starting to step up and the Bobcats were a model of success to strive for.
Thanks again and hang in there you guys still have a great program and I hope you finish the year strong

Thanks TU. I was up in North Philly last week and the energy on campus is great. I'm happy for the students that really are getting to experience an historic season. I hope they realize how special it is. I know we would kill to be having Temple's season.

That's a nice sentiment. We became relevant under Frank and now teams that were in our position are thanking us. The problem with that is: we should not be passed up by those teams as we have been with Temple, UMass...etc.

ok, I agree with your premise here, but how have we been passed by UMass?

Agreed on some level, but he probably got upwards of $10 million to leave Coral Gables and he can make a reasonable case that he was put in an untenable position to begin with at Miami. He's counting his money and will likely reemerge somewhere to restore his battered reputation.

Congrats on a great season so far, hosting Penn St, Notre Dame, Game Day and Top 25. Hard to believe it was 4 seasons ago already Temple was in the MAC.

Yep, Temple has come a long way from their days in the MAC, good for them.
Meanwhile we are staring down the end of another season nowhere near a MACC. Maybe that could possibly explain why people are upset/frustrated. Hint, please note the sarcasm. Actually, it is a massive disappointment for me to see where Temple is at and where we are at. But hey, you got to love OUr mediocrity.

Hi, my favorite team is undefeated, ranked and is hosting GameDay this Saturday and I just wanted to stop by to make sure you all knew that while giving you a back handed compliment about how you used to beat us when we sucked, but now we're awesome and you're still....losing to Buffalo.

So anyways, I've got to get ready for our Saturday super duper primetime hootenanny, good luck in your weeknight Ohio-town freeze fest thing.

K Thanks Bye.

I have no problem with down programs finding their way -- as long as they are not named Miami or Marshal. Temple was a fun opponent due to the irrationality of some their fans on BA that kept things interesting. Now back to Ohio and the MACC.

I think we all knew that you guys (or really anyone who joins the MAC just for football) were using the MAC as a springboard for "better" things, so it was no surprise that you made the jump you did. You're one of the rational Owls who visited here, and I do wish you well. I'm for any G5 team that takes out a snob conference opponent.

Nor did I intended my previous post in this thread to be taken as an attack/insult on Temple. Actually, I am very happy for the Owls as they have certainly done something right to correct the direction their program was headed, unlike we here at Ohio who are adopting the famous slogan as our motto, "Wait until next year." Of course as we all know, "next year" appears to never come so we make lame excuses for OUr program going nowhere (even in the MAC) and then try to convince ourselves that hey, things could be worse.

I think you're being hard on yourselves. The Ohio program was what Temple looked to become... our media market is the only thing differentiating us from Ohio. I miss those match ups and frankly am still pissed we never got to beat you!

Tough loss Temple, but you guys really put on a show tonight. National TV, nice crowd, great game. You have come a long way.

Just wanted to say, you guys played awesome tonight. I was pulling for you the entire game and was sad to see you lose, but what a game! I can say, I'm now jealous of where your program is at compare to ours (since you were never able to beat us :P).
