In other news; #9 & undefeated Fla State vs Ga Tech & at the time 2-5. GT 22 FSU 16.

#3 & undefeated Utah vs 3-3 & unranked USC. USC 42 Utah 24.

And also; Mason, Gdowski & Lightner @ Vandy take down Pinkel's MIZZOU 10-3.

I think we all want to see OU added to these types of lists of underdogs taking down some big boys, instead of us being on the losing end of these affairs. Next week against BG is our chance.

Most of us have a sports app, get the paper or know how to find scores on the internet but thanks anyway.

In other news, every college football game yesterday had 1 winner and 1 loser.

This just in, there will be a plethora of games this coming weekend except for most of the teams in the MAC which is about to enter crazy season.

Buffalo is not GT or USC....and the MAC is not the PAC 12 or ACC. Those leagues are a lot more competitive top to bottom and any attempt to compare them to the MAC is laughable.

Losing to Bufffalo....by 24....is in no way like losing at GT or USC.

Poor attempt at again trying to validate the pile of losses this team has put together the last few years.

It's totally okay to be frustrated, point fingers and even get angry at the state of our football program. It's because I (we) care. I want this program to be great...and right now they're not even good.

Quit trying to "guilt" people because they voice frustration or question the state of the program. Validating where we're at is only accepting the mediocre state they currently sit

This mid week TV schedule needs to go away. Empty stadiums and mismatches on the field are negative images which cannot justify the TV exposure or the dollars we are paid.. It may have been a novelty a few years back but now it seems counter productive for the image of our conference.

Sadly, its part of the ESPN deal. This is the only way/reason they'll put the MAC on. ESPN needs programming during weeknights and the MAC needs exposure/$$$.

I hate it too....sucks that tailgating season is over and it's not even November.

Are you kidding me? This is an excellent opportunity for the MAC to showcase the fancy new commercial that we have all been privileged enough to preview multiple times on ESPN 3. Only brings respect to the MAC from the entire nation. Hopefully it comes on every 3rd commercial like on 3.

That commercial gives me nightmares of being lost in the vast frozen tundra that encompasses every MAC institution.

It would have been one thing if we lost to Buffalo by one possession....

It was not a contest by halftime.

I'm sure that the MAC commercial will attract lots of prospective students who will be excited about the prospect of living in the frozen tundra, which is a major tourist destination, I'm sure. Athletes, too, will be attracted by the prospect of playing for nameless, faceless teams in generic uniforms.

Strike $$$ from the deal. This is all about groveling at the TV/ESPN altar for scraps. I told my OSU friends already this morning how envious I am that their season of Saturday football, tailgates and crowds continues. Ours is over - figuratively and literally. That is what makes the recent performances worse for me. I've been to more than one November mid-week game when there was still something to play for. Not entirely terrible. That won't be the case next month.

That MACACTION commercial is pretty lame as L.C. stated.
I also did not see 1 Ohio commercial.

OHIO had a couple of years of fine, rockin' football when it was to great advantage to be on ESPN mid-week as the only show on TV.

It is unfortunate that it takes away Saturday ball and tail-gating and ability to travel to attend games. But it's a necessity for a MAC team to get spotlight.

Spotlight = recruiting = players = winning. Hopefully.

I saw the Ohio commercial, and the Buffalo one, and the Buffalo one was far better. The Buffalo one promoted the University itself, and the great research and other things that happen at the University, while the Ohio was about "being a Bobcat".

I don't think students go to Universities to be a fan. I think they go to Universities to do great things, and to become relevant, but they may well learn about universities from being a fan. Thus to me the idea should be use Sports to capture eyeballs, then when you have the eyeballs, promote the great things the student can do. Buffalo did a good job of that, in my opinion.

I don't think the Ohio commercial is about being a "fan". Being a Bobcat means getting a good education and experiencing a lifestyle that makes one cherish their time spent on campus. Throughout my 30 years of work and social experiences I have never come upon an individual that attended another university and felt so drawn to the campus years later. Being a Bobcat means developing friendships and bonds that are stronger and more meaningful than what others experience on other campuses. The commercial is simply telling perspective students that they will never regret choosing Ohio University. I've run into hundreds of individuals over the years that regret attending the university of their choosing. I have never met an Ohio Alum that regretted their decision.
