MARSHALL SERIES: UC and Marshall on Thursday announced they will play a home-and-home football series. The teams will meet Sept. 23, 2017 at Nippert Stadium and at Marshall on Sept. 28, 2019. The two programs have met 12 times, most recently in 2008. UC leads the series 8-3-1.

For some reason, this article reminded me of something else I saw today: Pittsburgh's AD says they won't schedule Home and Home matchups with non-Power 5 programs.

FWIW, the Charleston Gazette is reporting a home and home for Boise and Marshall 2019 and 2020.

Maybe the G5 teams should only play other G5 teams and force the NCAA or P5 hands. Then the P5 will have no "pushovers" and there will probably be undefeated G5 teams at the end of the season. Of course the money would just say the P5 schools are better at the end of the year, but all the unknown might stir up some controversy about the divisional make up.

If thats the approach, why not just implement straight-up promotion/relegation between P5/G5/FCS

That's what I was trying to get at, albeit in a not great way.
