On the QB front it sounds like they will be back at full speed. Supposedly Vick's ankle is better, and Sprague is reported to be back.

QBs better health wise, but, is the OL as solid as earlier? Will the QB be able to step into throws after allowing time for looking off or checking down progressions?

My impression is that Vick is not very good at checking down progressions, even when he has enough time. He tends to go with his first or second read. There are many times when I've seen a wide open guy ignored and instead a pass is sent into double coverage. IMHO, Sprague is better at finding open receivers -- at least when he's on his A game, which unfortunately is not always the case.

OL always has so much to do with it.

Understood. That's why I said even when he has enough time.

OL obviously has a lot to do with it (duh) but a real genuine QB makes some...at least a few..plays in spite of the lack of protection. Haven't seen much of that at Ohio for a long while.

I read the article today that said the team is at full strength. Sounds like Poling and White are back for tonight.

Link please. http://www.donbest.com has a too extensive list of injuries for that to be.

From what I've heard Poling is possible, but White is out for probably two more weeks at least.

Arkley has them both out tonight. Also out are Watson and Bass. Sayles and Purdum are questionable, so interior DL is fragile tonight.

The Messenger article lists Poling, White, Tautuiki, Bass, Cunningham, Nelson, Brunson, Smart, Lowery, Anderson, J. Brown, C. Brown, and Mangen all as "Out", and several others as questionable.

Seems to be getting close to where it might be easier to list who is playing for this Bobcat team.

I'd just like to add that the first time my fiancee heard White's name on TV, she thought we had a player named Puppy White. Then she thought it was Puffy White. I didn't dare correct her. She eventually figured it out.

And that is after a long week to rest and recover. We're at, what, four straight years of extraordinarily high numbers of injuries?

Puppy White--that's funny. Would be a cool player name.

Injuries just cannot be asserted as an excuse any more.....Unless you're willing to hear that next year and the year after that and.....

It's the same game for all teams. All teams have injuries. What did NIU do vs. undefeated Toledo yesterday when NIU had two key injuries?
