...and, for the record, I'm the first one on BA to predict that he will someday be an NFL player, and to compare him to a prior Heisman winner. He has not disappointed me yet, and I still see greatness. On the other hand I also appreciate that it is rare for players to start as a freshman, especially when the players ahead on the depth chart are good. He will get there.
i'm a huge Maleek booster being from Vancouver, Canada (his hometown) and having seen him play live a couple of times... but i have to say i tend to agree with you. there are worse things Solich could do than not playing a stud freshman tailback too much. alot of teams bring along freshman pretty slowly for alot of reasons. even ones that might arguably be the best player.
i have seen alot of high school football, albeit very little at the highest texas/florida/california levels, but Maleek is unlike anything i have ever seen.
in case anyone wonders, i don't know Maleek nor do i have any connection, even indirect, to him. just read about him in newspaper and went to watch him play 2 HS football games.
