I don't think it works that way. I hope that the best QB that gives us the best chance to win the game plays. At least that's how I would do it.

And because he has completed more passes, for more yards and has a higher completion rate. He has earned the start.

If all 3 QBs are 100% healthy I would have Vick #3.

You certainly may be right, but you shouldn't be playing for next season before this season is over IMHO.

By the way, are you telling the 21 seniors that their career is officially now over? Let the underclassmen play this last game? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Sprague looked good for a game and a quarter. I was impressed, but it's the first time I've really thought he looked like a starter-level QB. When healthy, Vick has been way better, and the numbers show that. But he has to be 100 percent.

If Vick is 100 percent which he may be by that time he will start. He gives the best chance to win and is more reliable. You have to account for his arm AND legs.

Newsflash one game..a bowl game a that does not "prepare" a player for next season. These added practices/workouts and film session do..spring practice and summer/fall camp do. They will game plan to WIN ONE GAME not "prepare" for the future.

so the thought is that a 5th senior and two time captain who has won the starting QB position for the last 2 years shouldn't be given a chance to play in the final game of career because- F$%^ him, that's why?

You're angry at him for earning his degree and then abandoning the team after only 5 years, that its somehow his fault that the NCAA won't give him another year of eligibility and if he was truly committed to the team he would find a way to come back regardless. So screw him for his lack of commitment?

wow. Merry Christmas, Ebenezer.

There is a huge difference between a healthy Vick and a hobbled Vick. Should we fault him for giving his best and playing hurt, even though it meant that he didn't look as good, personally?

Got to agree. To be playing for next year simply renders these bowl games meaningless exhibitions for profit.

They are not meaningless to the players.

They are no more meaningless than any other game in lots of ways.

If they are meaningless to you don't watch.

66, read the post not the name of the poster. I agreed with your post. My point was if we're playing for next year then these bowls are nothing more than a profit making sham.

I think you have to find a balance between now and future .. I'm just saying OHIO quarterback play has been patchwork at best since tettleton's sophomore season .. It's nice to see Sprague come on like he has .. I'm saying what a great season this year, but I would like to see Sprague in there to get the experience and first team snaps so he'll be primed for next year and OHIO can go 10-2 and play for a MAC championship and a nice bowl game ..

BANG !!

So if your opinion is a Senior who only lost the job because of injury should start....

What's your opinion on a healthy Daz who saw the most carries until getting hurt (Full season Oulette 137 carries, Daz 102 but out two games)?

I'd play whoever is well and gives us the best chance to win. I don't care what class they're in.
Any other ideas?
