He sent allen out first with the post about being another game they are supposed to win. No big deal.

Maybe Ohio's win left Monroe speechless. :)

Revenge of the Nerds Bcat 2 style. Great win, we need to do more. I can't speak for Monroe, but I have been a fan since the 90's and I am glad anytime that we win. I want to seeus become a top 40 program not top 80 so as a fan I will speak my mind.

This actually has nothing to do with Monroe's mysterious absence.

I'm kicking myself for leaving out the most likely explanation:

Monroe's upset Ohio won.

I have said this before and I will say it again. Anyone who posts on this board is a true die hard bobcat fan. We all want the same thing...success in Ohio football. With FS&Co, we have had some of that. The one thing Monroe and I agree upon is that after 10-11 years, we should have gotten one MACC. When they were hired I was sure of that. Well, we don't (and you cannot argue that point). That is what people like me are most disappointed about. Someone said it better...do ya wanna be 6-6, 7-5 or 8-4 most years and be 5/6 in the pecking order/come in second or third in the East and go to a bowl? Or, would you like to win one or two or three MACCG in 10 years and be a top tier MAC program going to bowls? I would rather be the latter.

As for this year...WOW. First the 5-1 start. VERY GOOD. Then those three in the middle...what the hell, that really sucked? POOR. Then the ship was righted and three big wins. YEA! Overall, another solid year but one more year waiting to win the whole enchilada! Or, is that TURKEY?

Have a great Thanksgiving!

If not for a VERY questionable call at Minn. we had a real good shot of starting 6-0.
I also think that that loss hurt the Bobcats psyche.

Another possible choice: His Fire Frank campaign came to a screeching halt. His Fire The Coach efforts now stand at 1-1 all time. He was right about Knorr and wrong about Frank. If Frank wants it, he'll be getting an extension. Book it.

While I may not agree with some of Monroe's posts, I do respect his passion for OU football. I'd rather have a passionate fan I disagree with over alumni that are just apathetic. And we have far too many apathetic alumni. I'm sure that as a fan Monroe is happy we won, but I'm also sure he still feels strongly about the changes he'd like to see. That's what makes this board relevant and interesting.

Their fans are not mediocre, they expect to win. I see nothing wrong with their comments. They will not hoist their coach in the air if they beat us next year

Their fans are no fun. Glad to see the coach getting a ride. Nice win. Glad our fan base, for the most part, knows the joy of appreciating the moment.

I seem to remember Monroe was hesitant to get behind the 2006 team that went to our first bowl game in 38 years. Then when he went missing after we won the MAC East against Akron I think it was, I posted a joke poll like this kidding about the reasons to his absence. Brings back memories. lol

But, let me just say I know that Monroe is tough in his level of expectations because of his passion for OHIO. So, if there is criticism, I always know what is behind it and don't question his support as a fan.

Wow, you guys are making it like Monroe is three ball. Come on, he is just stating an opinion and their is a lot of validity to it. He just wants to win. I have seen him here for years supporting the Cats. Lol, you guys are hilarious. As bobcat fans I love you guys.

"supporting the Cats." I wonder if the players and their families would agree? An ongoing campaign to deny and denigrate any success or progress on their part can not be "support." No. Perhaps we need a poll to ask the BA'ers if that is "support."

Sometimes the truth can be hard. The Bobcats peaked between 2009-2011, and we have moved to the middle of the pack. This is the truth, I love the Cats and can't wait to see them reach the promise land.
