It is truly unfortunate that such an historic accomplishment as the first Mid American Conference Championship in 56 years has been hijacked by the post game story. Please know that, for this alum and fan, your accomplishment, a complete and utter drubbing of our arch rival in this game is the most important aspect of this past weekend and will continue to be into the future. Saturday was a top tier day for me as a sports fan. To do it by humiliating Miami makes all the failed trips to Detroit worth it. And in a season where the team exceeds expectations and steadily improves. That's what being a sports fan is all about.
