Bizarre times for sure. But as long as coaches can bail on a program at any time for their next multi-million dollar contract the players should be able to do the very same thing.

Which if I remember correctly, many here wanted the portal because the coaches have it. Now players have it and some get pissed when they leave. Coaches still have that freedom and most get pissed.

Today it’s an even playing field, coaches leave when they want and so do players. Neaither plays or coaches in that same season.
