2 votes this week.

What a weird position we find ourselves.

Didn't we get 8 votes in the coaching poll?

Bet we would have gotten more if our coach wasn’t rumored to be leaving during the voting.

If they can beat a damn good Rich Rod coached team they might be at 24-25 to end the season.

Other than the UNCC stuff which is what it is at this point, I think we have a desirable team and culture of producing winners that a lot of coaches out there would be happy to pick up the mantle.

And, why not? They played like a Top 25 team against Miami. That was an absolute clinic. Solid defense, total ball control. Consider that Ohio scored the first 5 times they got the ball, and only punted one time in the game, and that was after they had build a 31-3 lead. 32 first downs. One drive was 18 plays long, and used over 10 minutes of clock.

Not correct. As a former Ohio SID used to drill into everyone’s head, he would say, “It’s a Top-25 poll, hence the number 25. The poll ranks the Top-25 teams. The teams receiving votes are not ranked, they only received votes to be ranked.” If it was a Top-35 poll, then Ohio would have been ranked based on the number of votes received. FYI - I totally understand your point. But after he stood on his soapbox and explained how much he hated seeing people make that kind of claim, I actually understood his point and notice it all the time myself nowadays.

And then you have Marshall getting 8 votes now that they have lost their coach and have already had many portal defections as a result.

I don't know which SID this was, but it gives off serious "Old Man Yells at Cloud" energy in 2024's media/social media environment
