Instead I worked on a shadowbox for a friends father, WWII, Pacific Theater, 3 Philippine Campaigns. It was not an Ohio game after all.

I watched part of the 2nd Q -- only because I had even less interest in the other games -- then ran some errands. The stores were almost empty and it was a lot easier getting things done. Didn't root for either team.

Sounds like my game plan today, Pataskala. Maybe we were in the same store somewhere in Licking County today.

However, I seem to remember several times in recent years of being at an Ohio basketball game in the Convo during an o$u-um game.

Did get home to catch some of the post-game interviews. Got a laugh out of Zeke Elliott proclaiming to be "the ultimate team player."

They had a game? I wouldn't know what was on today as I was busy adding weather-stripping and winterizing things. There wasn't a place to vote for "I didn't watch TV at all today", so I couldn't vote.

A daughter attends UM so I watched. Not the result I was hoping for.

I caught some of the OSU game but wasn't into the blowout. OU had a candidate for Heisman that was sharp. They talked about how Bob Stoops 17 years at Oklahoma is now longest tenured coach in college football. He's won only 1 national championship but has Oklahoma consistently in the Top 15. The heat Les Miles has for the same performance at LSU I thought was unjustified and I'm glad he's staying.

Yes, and I laughed when Michigan State beat Penn State later in the day - excluding Tosu from a BIG "Whatever" Championship. One thing is for sure, football is cyclical, Michigan will have their day once again.

I grew up in a split household. My dad went to tOSU and my maternal grandfather went to Michigan. My mom grew up just outside Detroit so she was a big Michigan fan. Needless to say the game was always huge when I was growing up. After coming to Athens my interest in the game began to wane to the point now that I didn't realize they were playing until the game score popped up on my phone while I was at my son's basketball game. It's no longer must watch TV for me.

Besides "The Game" was already played on 10/10.

Hell yeah! I root for all Ohio teams when they play out of state teams. When in state schools play each other I obviously have to pick a favorite at that point. I get just as much satisfaction out of OSU pounding on Meetchicken as I did when the Ohio Bobcats slayed the mighty Huskies.

This is like saying I root for all Western armies, even the Germans in WWII, as long as they're not fighting the Americans.

Let's just say that I am more "pro" good theater, than I am "anti" A&M. How could you look away when there was every chance that the entire Ohio A&M pipedream for a CFP spot was about to fall apart? How could you ignore it when the 1st and 2nd cockiest, cocksure, arrogant head coaches in the BIG (maybe all of sports) ran head long into each other knowing one was about to have a terrible day? Who could ignore khaki boy's pre-season promises going up in 3 yards and a cloud of dust

Seeing MSU beat A&M and Elliott throw his coaches under a bus the week before was enough schadenfreude for me. This weekend was all about the possibilities.

Not so fast my friend. football is a GAME. No one shooting bullets, bombing cities or sending folks to concentrations camps...

Unless you're being sarcastic I hope that day never comes. Talk about misplaced priorities. As someone in another post said, it's a game.

Yeah, that's sarcasm. That's not a place in college football we need to shoot for.

I assumed that invoking Godwin's Law would make my statement an obvious use of hyperbole. Apologies if it was not.

I voted "I watched something else". Truth be told, I went to lunch with my Mom for the first 2 1/2 quarters. After, I was at my Dad's and he and my brother in law controlled the TV, so it went between that, and the biggest game every year in S.Carolina. I would have watch basketball given the remote.

I watched the first quarter and a half and then went out. Watched part of MSU-PSU and Bama-Auburn that afternoon and then all of ND-Stanford and OU-OSU at night. I'm a college football fan, and I don't think it's a betrayal of Ohio (particularly when they're not even playing) to watch some of the biggest games of the season that are determining the playoff field.
