Ahhh, what a difference 5 weeks makes. Too bad the people that this post is directed at don't really post here after games like tonight.

Did everyone catch the end of the game when they carried Frank off the field?

Life after the BG game:

The head coach didn't change. The coordinators didn't change. The play calling didn't change. No new recruits were added.

SOMETHING MUST BE DONE IF WE'RE GOING TO COMPETE WITH THE TOP TEAMS IN THIS CONFERENCE......................

EXECUTION makes everything better. Example, first half TD to tight end, perfectly blocked, thrown, and caught. Second half, same play. Perfectly blocked, throw ok, and ball... dropped. What a difference catching makes! If you EXECUTE more than the other team you win. Or, just make fewer mistakes than the other team please.

Seems about right. He's carried the Cats on his back all year long.

I'm here for you, my man. As you, I appreciate that the main goal is MAC, and that went down in explosively huge flames vs. Beefs, WMU, BG.

The wins against bad kents, bad Ball, and a pretty good NIU don't erase the three in which we got absolutely smashized.

It does for me. Move on man, as you say above, there's more than one goal for a team.

I realize some on this board don't take the Marshall game as seriously as I do.

Maybe that is because you went through all those years where it didn't matter?

Wait... Nothing mattered all those years...

Now it does...

Because of...

Solich...

Talking to myself like Monroe!

I must confess I was questioning the direction of the program, to myself, a few weeks ago. I accept losses as inevitable, but I can't stomach beatemdowns.

Finishing 8-4 is quite impressive. my household is looking forward to watching our bowl game, whether it be in person or on the television.

I'd like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to the coaching staff and individuals on the team.

If Bobcat fans had to state one goal...O N E...a single goal..not more than one, for OHIO FOOTBALL what would it be?

DFC, I'll save you the trouble: that Monroe shut up.

Every pre-season, every player states they want to win the MAC. This team believes they can win every game. We don't believe, hence we don't epect it, hence we burn couches when we beat NIU. Is this year a failure? No it is not, but the team wants more.

The goals and expectations of our program are much much more complex than the single, specific goal of winning the MAC championship. Certainly, that is the ultimate goal and it should be, but to judge our coaches and our kids as failures if we have not reached this goal is to miss the many "wins" from our program both on and off the field. Enjoy the journey.
Enjoy the complex process that is the development of a college football program that we can all be proud of and share in. Go Bobcats !

Consistent MAC Championship contender with every player winning at least one in their career.

I'm not getting in to the whole argument, but I hafta say something abt "pretty good" NIU. NIU came into this game as the number one seed in the MAC. All season long you and others have held the program accountable for not beating the top teams in the league. But after a very good win on the road against the MAC #1 seed, all of a sudden NIU is reduced to just "pretty good." Your arguments would be more persuasive if you'd just admit this is one game that doesn't fit your narrative. You do have a point that this doesn't wipe out the three game losing streak.

For what it's worth, the Western Michigan team that we "should have done better against" is currently beating #24 Toledo by double digits...

(Disclaimer: I say this as one of the people who blew up after the Western game...)

I don't care what WMU is doing to Toledo, we should not lose by 5 touchdowns to anybody. Here we go with the moral victories again.

So sorry if the young men let you down. Perhaps you could become a Missouri football fan. Or you could just let go of some baggage you seem to have a death grip on.

I am just being honest. We keep saying WMU beat Toledo. or we beat Marshall, who cares? Western lost to Ohio State by two touchdowns, does that mean we lose to Ohio State by 7 touchdowns? No, you line up and play your schedule. I am an Ohio fan, and I will continue to be. I am just tired of the loser mind state. Every damn year, we beat somebody that played somebody close. That is not enough.

We all have our thing/deal. Yours appears to be to deny success, progress, positive trends. Forget your baggage. Today, in the here and now, is this team trending up or not?

Or Bcat2 could be honest enough to state his or her affiliation with football program at OHIO UNIVERSITY so that we could fairly understand the basis of his/her viewpoint.
