Love the tickets for kids program. Do they toss in an OHIO t-shirt or something like that?

No shirt. The purpose of the program is to offset bowl costs. Throwing in a shirt would cut into that revenue stream. If it was truly philanthropic, throwing in a shirt would be a great idea and one that I would fully support as I'm sure many others would.

I think there are benefits to giving them a shirt that go beyond literally putting a shirt on a kid's back.

You give them a green OHIO shirt to wear to the game. They take the shirt home and wear OHIO again a week later. And a month later. Maybe a year later. You never know, one bowl game might make a little kid a fan of the program for years. Little kids pick their favorite teams for random reasons. If they watch an OHIO bowl win, they might just love the Bobcats for awhile.

Ya gotta think athletics has extra kids shirts sitting around. Take a picture of all the kids in the green shirts. Splash in everywhere. Solid PR. Little cost. I'd throw in an extra $5 a ticket if that was what it took. I'm sure others would too.

Would not shock me if they could possibly get a bookstore or apparel company to donate.

I bet we could crowdfund it, too. Hmm...

2012, Independence Bowl, Shreveport, La. We sat next section to the "Kids." I am for any way you can improve their experience, but, they were having a great time regardless. Many had already purchased the bowl shirt from stadium vendors.

I'd settle for a cheap green pom pom they can shake and show their Ohio pride.
