We did this a few weeks ago but now that things just about set, here's my best guess as to the bowl slots that'll be open. Only the AAC, MAC, MWC and Pac12 have more eligible teams than bowl commitments, so they'll likely be filling most of these. AAC will probably have just enough teams to fill its slots plus the likely access bowl slot.

ACC/ND: Has ten eligible teams for nine slots, but will likely be one short because Clemson will be in the playoff and ND will probably get an at-large. The open slot should be the Quick Lane in Detroit.

B10: Worst of "P"5, will have three open bowls. Most likely will be the Quick Lane, the Armed Forces in Fort Worth (MWC) and the Foster Farms in Santa Clara (Pac12).

B12: Will be at least one short, maybe two. Most likely will be the Heart of Dallas (CUSA) and/or Cactus in Phoenix (Pac12).

CUSA: Is two short. Most likely the Arizona in Tucson (MWC) and New Orleans (Sun Belt)

SEC: Will be at least one short, maybe two. Most likely the Independence in Shreveport (ACC) and maybe the Birmingham (AAC).

Sun Belt: Maybe one short. Most likely the Cure Bowl in Orlando (AAC)

From what you are saying the Quick Lane Bowl is 100% going to be open. That means the MAC has 7 bowl eligible teams for 7 slots so it will meet its contractual obligations no more, no less. My prediction is Toledo will try to get in the Quick Lane Bowl with a nice record to play an ACC team. Bowling Green wins the MAC and that pegs them for Mobile. Akron said its wants a piece of MTSU in the Bahamas Bowl. NIU played in Boca last year and San Diego a few times before so Camilia Bowl. Ohio vs. Cincinnati in Boca Raton could be a possible pairing. The AAC has 2 bowls against the ACC and one against the SEC that their good teams are going to fill. USF may take one spot in St. Pete vs. ACC to ensure ticket sales.

That's what SBNation is projecting:
