I guess Appalum1 was sent to be hall monitor. Anyways, Apps first allotment of tickets has sold out within 48 hrs
I think Appalachian State will bring more fans to this game than Ohio. Hopefully I'm wrong about that. I just get the sense that for Ohio there's a bit of "been there, done that" when it comes to the bowl game. Like I said, hopefully Ohio proves me wrong.

I love Ohio's sponsoring of bus trip packages for the students! Genius! (Yes I know Ohio did the same thing for the New Orleans Bowl several years ago)

I may be wrong as usual! Reading Jason Arkley's twitter page, apparently Ohio's bus package is sold out and now they're taking names for a waiting list. Way to go students!

GO BOBCATS!!!!!

I think you are correct in your thinking. I am very optimistic Ohio will have a very nice crowd, but I could see App State having a massive crowd. That whole "first-time" thing is just so big since all the casual fans will be more inclined to attend. I think plenty of Ohio fans will go to this, but there are certainly Ohio fans who will stay home because they've already had the whole "bowl game experience" before.

I really think we have a good crowd though. Our away crowds always impress me. Plus, we have that student crowd to factor in also. The bus package is awesome. It was a good idea in 2010, they did it again for the bowl in Florida two years ago and this time around it is still a good idea. As a student, the value there is unbeatable. I was in school in 2010. I remember hearing the price and wondering how anyone could turn down a deal like that.
I love that we continue to do this. Beyond immensely helping the atmosphere in this single-game, I think offering trips like this help turn more students into diehard Bobcat fans. Credit to whoever had this idea in 2010 and the continued commitment to it. Awesome.

The bus package was great idea, and is a win-win deal. Ohio is stuck with more tickets than it can sell, so why not give them to students as a part of a bus package, and just charge the students just for the other expenses, making it a great deal? It's better than letting the tickets go unused, and is a benefit to the students.
