Ohio has a fine stable of backs, good enough o-line and QBs who are better runners than throwers. Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, Air Force and Navy have all proved you can win consistently (maybe not GT) on this level with some form of the triple option. Go back to Frank's roots. Hell, run it out of the pistol to throw another wrinkle into the machine. Georgia Southern runs theirs that way and partially out of a spread. Because why not?

Warning: this is only partially sarcastic.

I didn't say he was. But in this theory I can see why you would assume that.

I kinda miss the triple option...it's quirky and different, which fits our school. And when it works, it is a thing of beauty.

(truth be told, if we are banking on THE ULTIMATE DEFENSE to carry us to a MACC next year, then the triple option isn't a horrible idea....if the defense can keep it close, the option can grind out wins...and we don't have to worry about back-to-back INTs in our own of the field...)
