Join fellow Bobcats at the Bobcat Bash before the OHIO vs. Appalachian State Football game at the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl! Included with your registration is an all-you-eat BBQ buffet and two drink tickets redeemable for alcoholic beverages. There will be OHIO-themed giveaways as well! There is no easy way to get there. I believe it would be faster to drive by the time one factors in the time it takes to get to an airport 90 minutes before departure, the actual flight schedules and a likely additional drive from Atlanta or Birmingham. There would be better attendance if the game was played halfway between the two schools in Beckley, WV. I'd at least make the trip to the Beckley Travel Plaza Tamarack Bowl.

Cincinnati Bobcats have an easy drive with I-71 to Louisville then it's a straight, albeit very long, shot down I-65 to Montgomery. Google says 8-hours, but our lead foot friends could turn that into 7-7.5 easy.

Remember for those traveling from Cincy, it would be 7.5 hours down and 9.5 back with the time change.

Per someone's suggestion on another thread - $275 from Columbus to Atlanta direct then a two hour drive over.

If you are looking the ATL route. $133 round trip out of Cak on SW and $178 Delta.

I found a rental car for $30 through AAA with Hertz. Flying from Richmond VA to ATL and driving over. I can't wait. Hope to meet up with other Bobcat Fans to cheer the team on!

Traveling from the Columbus area. Three kids in tow. I have a minivan, which means two reasonable adult size spots available. Help with gas and driving and join in the fun. PM me if you want to ride. Leaving Friday between 1-2, coming back Sunday.

I think the vast majority of students went to the game. The Super Dome isn't really close to Bourbon Street and the hotel where students stayed was in the opposite direction. Ohio students had to go back to the hotel immediately before the game to checkout and then took the buses from the hotel to the Super Dome. The buses left from the Super Dome after the game.

Now, I completely agree about the stocking up part... Auburn bars are about to be taken over.

Just booked Spirit Airlines CLE-ATL. Leaving CLE-ATL at 5pm Friday night. Flying back ATL - CLE at 9am on Sunday Morning.

Seats are as low as $86.18 person roundtrip if you're a $9 Fare Club member (there's a 90 day trial available for $19.95). Or, they're as low as $126.18/person R/T if not $9 Club Fare member). If you're booking for several people, only the booking person has to be the club fare member and everyone flying with him/her gets the discounted airfare.

However, the seats are kind of small, so taller/wider flyers may want to pay the extra fee to choose either an exit row or the Big Front Row seats for additional fees.

Also, you are only allowed a small backpack or personal item up to 16"x12"x12" for free. Anything larger carried on or checked is an additional charge. Fees must be paid before going to airport or the bags will cost more than your seat.

And, you must check in online before heading to airport or will be charged a checkin fee.

We flew Spirit to New Orleans in October and liked it. However, people who don't plan well and show up at the airport not prepaying for carry on bags or prepaying for checked bags are in for a major sticker shock.
