Looks like the Cardinals have a solid new leader at the helm. Will be interested to see what he does in the always top heavy West.

Did any BA'ers on here ever see him play in person? Sounded like he was arguably the best player in their history at the QB position at least from a winning standpoint.

Yep. Heady player. Not sure about the best...hard to top Nate Davis in the wins category and from a competitve stand point. Much better character than Nate. Neu was pretty good and he is a winner. Works at the game and is really motivated. Will be exceptional with Riley Neal. Pretty diverse experience with college, arena, NFL to go along with his playing resume. THat bodes well with creating a vision and a mindset for Balls to follow. Indy area guy that should understand the culture of the area and create a desire to settle in and build a program for the long haul/ Will be interesting to see if, like IU, he taps into the burgeoning football presence that Peyton has brought to the local sports scene in a previously basketball addicted state.

Any idea what his salary was at NO and what his salary will be at BSU? Taking a pay cut?

No specific info I could find but I doubt he was making what he is at Balls. If you count per hour...pro gig is probably better. I would imagine Muncie is a cheaper place to live than NOLA

Nate's character wasn't his issue as much as his immaturity. He has to be the best ever in Muncie. He provided Brady Hoke a career.

Amazing they didn't win more consistently given they've had Nate Davis and Keith Wenning at quarterback for a good portion of the last decade.
