His draft stock may have been hurt over the last three games, where he missed three tackles each. He is still considered a great cover corner. I hope he has a great workout and is able to get drafted. http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/12/17/2016-nfl-draft-prospects...

allen. I have a tv in front of my treadmill and I re-watch games for enjoyment. I get the impression you re-watch games with a critical eye. Wells missed three tackles in each of the last three games. Do you also know his pass breakups, how many time they attempted to his covered receiver, how many times they completed to his covered receiver or is this just more cherry picking some negatives.

I just stated he is still a premium cover corner. His one weakness is open field tackling. Did you read my post or just assume?

We can always count on you to include the critical, point out the weakness. Did you attempt the other data or just missed tackles?

Another brilliant bcat2 misreading.

I can guarantee you that the pros are much less concerned with the plays a guy makes than the ones he misses.

And if there are very few misses, then you know that you have a gem.

I'm not saying anything here re Wells. I'm merely saying that I'm consistently amazed at some folks inability to grasp the appropriate standard of measurement.

When your addicted to a point of view, when you regard someone as a deity, then it's not surprising when your analysis is warped.

Bass was the best tackling corner, while Wells was the best cover corner. Against a running team it hurt to have Bass out.

+1 Bcat2, I was trying to give a scout's perspective. Deion Sanders was not the best tackler, but is considered by many to be the best corner to play. Bass is a very good tackler.

"a scouts perspective". That's hilarious, how would you know what they are looking for? Missed tackles are not going to hurt him.

What's hilarious is you saying "missed tackles are not going to hurt him". You should have quit while you were ahead, but you feeble emotional state would not allow you too.

Wells isn't being evaluated on the number of tackles he makes or misses, He will be evaluated on his quickness and explosiveness, His ability to read, react and anticipate, as well as his footwork and ability to use his hands and play the ball. One can work on tackling, that is a teachable skill not an aptitude or ability.

A defender not being graded in anyway on tackling, sounds like a great philosophy. Why didn't I think of that? That's drafting for championships. I hope they do exactly what you said because Wells will go very high in the draft.

I've spoken with more scouts and agents in the last week then you probably have in your life. Wells needs to have quality workouts and he's got a chance at being drafted, he's a lock for a FA contract.
