Roger Lewis announced he is leaving BG for the NFL. Also, Matt Johnson isn't applying for a medical redshirt. In short, no Matt Johnson, no Travis Greene, no Roger Lewis = no BG in the MACC in 2016. No way the Falcons 4-peat the East without those 3. Ohio's path to the East title and MAC Championship keeps getting easier and easier and OU hasn't had to do a single thing.
A few questions. Does not BG return an East winning QB from 2014 in Knapke? BG's #2 RB had how many yards and how did he do when Greene missed games? Now take away Lewis's yards and those from other WRs leaving BG. Which team BG or Ohio still returns the most yards receiving? From your post I get that you believe BG will be without winning talent next season. Far from it. BG should still be favored. JMHO.
Agree. Those three are big losses, but Knapke already proved he could QB a team to the MAC title game.

The biggest question will be how big of a change will offense have with Babers gone? Ultimately, the departure of those three help Ohio's chances....but I wouldn't say Ohio's road to a title is getting easier.

Bobcats still have a lot of question marks themselves. Give me James Knapke as our QB and I'd like our chances better than anyone we have on our roster right now.

When a team as BG did give up 35 unanswered points to close out a bowl game it can set a bad tone for the next year. BG replacing its HC, QB, and top WRs is probably going to take a hit. Does that make Ohio a favorite to win the East next year, I'm not sure.
