This game is non-competitive. The program has barely moved in 10 years if they cannot keep it close to a mediocre conference team at home. LC can quote all the irrelevant stats he wants and Bcat can point out the consecutive years we've been eligible for crappy bowl games. Anyone that is sitting in Peden right now knows this is the predictable, mid-season turd in our punch bowl. Say what you want about Fleck rowing the boat, but we're getting beat in the face by their oars.

We have been a .500 team in MAC play for several years now. We have been blown out in every big MAC game the last three years. Yes we can beat the bottom of the MAC to a pulp but we don't beat BGSU or any of the top MAC West teams home or away. We schedule soft non-conference because its our best chance to get to a bowl. A .500 team in MAC play really doesn't deserve a bowl. We are likely going to be 7-5 4-4 and offered a bowl, but only because we play in a weak MAC East. Seems every year we lose a game in October we are favored to win.

It amazes me how we run up the middle against everyone else and continue doing so when it's obviously not working. Now...when one would actually want to do that against a team that has given up tons of yards up the middle, we instead go for the slants.....that the heck coach?

This program was closer to Alcorn State than Boise State. They got to #20 once 5 years ago and pissed their pants in Oxford later that week. That's seriously as good as it's been.
