Just saw this on twitter. Pretty cool.

Sorry, but I'm not a big fan of this one. Where is the schedule? The little scribbles on the side. And no times listed. Ugh.

To clear up any confusion, this is not the official schedule poster. It is a very well-designed football recruiting piece that is being sent out to prospective student-athletes.

You'll start to see many of the official marketing pieces (schedule cards, brochures, posters, etc) around southeast Ohio starting in early summer.

Interesting as we have the discussion on multiple threads about colleges and Universities making money off of the backs of student-athletes and we celebrate a promotional poster promoting the same student-athletes. Ironic

I don't think there is a celebration taking place. Its a nice piece of printing that makes Ohio's athletic program look like a 21st century endeavor. Granted, there may have been an impression that this is a new idea. It isn't

I have certainly seen worse. Not my favorite but I can appreciate the effort to keep up with today's trends. Everyone is different and you cannot afford not to try your best to have a modern, fresh look that is intended to catch the eyes of a 17-18 year old and also potential ticket buyers.

For those who enjoy seeing what different programs put out there in terms of schedule posters around all levels of college football this is a good site to peruse (this is for 2015):

Others have been on here I'm sure and whoever puts it together will likely do another compilation for the upcoming season. Select posters can already be viewed for '16.

I'm not a graphic designer professionally but do enjoy comparing and looking at the different approaches. A lot of mimicry but some original designs, too. The use of opponents primary logo along with the game date/other information for sharing the schedule is certainly popular in present designs. The use of a team's helmet as the focal point is attractive to me personally.

I like the poster, and I've enjoyed all the ones we've put out over the years. Just ironic considering the discussions that are on other threads. The marketing people do a great job considering their grossly under resourced staff.
