Just wondered if anyone who follows the NFL closer than I do thinks LaVon has any chance to make it back to an NFL team. The last I heard he was playing in the Arena League for the Orlando team. He seemed to be in the verge of a real breakout before his suspension. I do hope he gets another chance.

I personally do not think he has much of a chance mainly because he is not a super star. Super stars always get a break that average players do not.
Unfortunately, he hurt himself by breaking the leagues substance abuse policy, while with the Colts.

I think he'd have to play so well somewhere else that an NFL team would have to be convinced he could be a high-level starter. Otherwise, they'd probably rather give a shot to someone else at this point. I don't think it's very likely.

Well, you guys paint a dismal picture of his chances. I appreciate your input, but I still can't help but hope that something unusual happens which gives him that unexpected second chance. He was such a great Bobcat -- and not just as an athlete -- that I truly hope he can eventually reach his full potential in the professional world.

Except that it's not a second chance. It's a third chance.

Its not even a given that Josh Gordon will be playing in the NFL and he was All Pro.

There are too many WRs available with the advent of spread offenses that nobody would want to take a flyer on a guy like LaVon, talented as he may be. He had chances and couldn't stop making mistakes. Especially with the way Goodell and the league crack down on substance abusers.
