Pop Warner which has 225,000 5-15 year old participants just announced 2 changes- no kickoffs-you get the ball at the 35 yard line and no more than 25% contact time during practice.

We're apt to see more changes soon probably. They did mention there's been no decline in their numbers since 2012. So the bottom is not dropping out so far.

Pop warner is not even the largest youth organization in regards to football participation. Reading some of your post makes me chuckle about the demise of football.

Don't know where you get that, but it is changing and will continue to change even more in the future.

Agreed. I don't think football is vanishing from the landscape any time soon (thank God!). I just think its popularity has peaked.

On what real basis do you draw the conclusion football is dying?
