The NCAA D1 Council tweaked the rule for bowl selection. A 6-6 team gets picked before a 5-7 team no matter who has a contractual relationship with the bowl. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2016/06/29/nca... /

I've got those six wins for you...games against true powerhouses: Texas State, Kansas, Gardner-Webb, Miami, EMU, Kent State.

Back-ups: Beefs, 'kron.

My goodness. We should enshrine in every hall of fame everywhere for getting six W's against our schedule.

Let's erect a statue now before someone beats us to it!

Must be sad with a glass that leaks anything positive. Quick, get a new glass and let us start filling it up with some recent positives. 09/12/15 at Peden, 21-10 over Marshall a team that would finish 10-3 and even win the St. Petersburg Bowl. 10/3/15 at Peden, 14-12 over Akron a team that would finish 8-5 and even win the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. 11/24/15 at Huskie Stadium, 26-21 over NIU an 8 win team, co-champion of the MAC West. Five other wins. A MAC leading 21,300 Bobcat fans recorded in average attendance. So a 2015 glass can be more than half full, unless you just have a need to pour out the good to only keep the bad. I pray you stop pouring out the good.

Nothing wrong with hope for the future.

But an ability to even-handedly judge actual results is required.

One does not evince this when one SFB only praises to the highest level.

2012: 14-26 BG, 27-52 Ball, 6-28 kents
2013: 7-49 Louisville, 3-30 Beefs, 0-49 BG, 13-44 kents, 20-37 ECU
2014: 3-20 Kentucky, 14-44 Marshall, 10-28 CMU, 13-31 BG, 21-42 WMU
2015: 14-49 WMU, 17-41 Beefs, 24-62 BG

Those aren't all the losses. And when you consider that about half of our games are against patsies.

It hasn't been real good here. That's just pretty much the reality.

Monroe the players that in 2015 delivered 8-5, beat Marshall, Akron, NIU and played their butts off to nearly upset an 11 win App State team deserve far better than you are allowing them. They have given Ohio fans much to be proud of and certainly everything a fan needs to go confidently into 2016. Again the players deserve better. "Mediocre" they are not. "hasn't been real good" yes it has. How about we let the fans at Peden speak for that with their MAC leading attendance.

Again, you look at history refusing to see all of it.

Was the team that provided the wins that you point to the same team that provided the losses? Did we instead put Bedford High School's team on the field to represent us in those huge losses?

Keep on denying reality. You're so good at it.

Mid70sbobcat--You accuse me of being repetitive. Well, yeah, when we get such looney, unfair, not-reasonably-representative-of-the-truth posts as the above.

So, do you think that it's me or Bcat2 who is absurdly repetitive.

Look, I'm not gonna let the SFB get away with absolutely ridiculous mis-characterizations. Some respect for reasonably representative truth is necessary.

You both go back to 'evidence' that supports your respective perspective/position. So in that sense you both are repetitive. I guess I'm more of a positive thinking person than you. I see the continued winning seasons as something I'm happy with. If we did even better, great. But until we regress and start having 4-8 seasons or something like that I'll maintain a positive outlook. Losses are losses, something all teams need to accept and learn from. Once they're history you need to move and and focus on the next game(s). And the name 'Frank Solich' is a positive for us.

To put things into perspective, there was a time, not too long ago, when ending, what I believe was longest losing streak in D1 college football, was considered an accomplishment.

At the same time,Ohio was who people wanted to schedule for their Homecoming Game.
