I see on Twitter that Michael George is moving to Texas State, our first opponent. Of all places to lose a staff member.

According to his Twitter, he is director of player personnel at Texas State, which I believe was the same position he had with Ohio.

Yep, he probably has as good an overview of the players as about anybody since he worked on all their recruiting.

Ouch. Sorry to see him go. An Ohio native, Michael George will be a big plus at Texas State. Read the following.

"George graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005 with majors in physics, mathematics, and classics. George also earned a master's in mechanical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006. George earned his second master's degree from Ohio State University in 2008. Most recently in 2013, George earned a master's degree from Ohio University in recreation and sports sciences."

He holds 2 Masters, that's a big deal.
He won't have any real impact in the games outcome.

I guess he got poor advice on job possibilities in the field of his undergrad degrees and his first two masters.

He probably got free tuition when he was employed at universities. So if he had free time to do it, why not?

Anybody else have the experience of attending Catholic schools when nuns were still teaching?

I had high school teachers with multiple MA's and even PhD's. These fine ladies taught "General Science" as well as AP Physics. It's all about that access.

What are the tuition incentives/discounts for Ohio employees and their families these days?

I can remember taking a lot of courses with "non traditional" students who worked for the university and I enjoyed their fellowship, input, experience and especially having them in groups for team assignments as they were much more motivated and reliable. Was really impressed by a gentleman who was part of the campus facilities management team who was on the brink of retirement but wanted to earn a degree in probably his 60s.

Free tuition. They still pay fees, but obviously, that is small in comparison in most cases, though my wife's brother is studying aviation, and the fees for that program are huge.
