Wow. Can't lie thought maybe Von was done but we all know you can never count this guy out!! Signed after a workout by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers! Major step on his comeback says he ran a 4.3 for the team today first time running the 40yd since 2011.

Boy, I hope he makes it happen for himself there. He's the best WR I've ever seen at OU.

I'm in his corner. Rooting for him all the way back to the NFL. This is a good first step.

I think the odds are pretty long that he'll make it back to the NFL, given that he's been off suspension nearly two years and he hasn't had any takers. But I'd like to see him at least have a solid career in Canada, like Chip Cox has had. He has too much talent to be out of the game. Best of luck.

Too bad there aren't emojis on here. Could easily replace blazin with (fire).

I agree. There is nothing wrong with having a career in Canada. Here's wishing him a long, successful career north of the border.

Wow, I am so happy for him. God is good. I can see him having a great year and being back in the NFL in the next two years. Stay hungry Lavon

He's not going back to the NFL. Here is to hoping that he can string together a few years in the CFL.

Oh so you are psychic ? If he returns to form as an elite wr in the CFL he will get a shot again with an NFL team.

Blitz is right. Talent always has a place. Also the NFL will be taking a softer stance on marijuana in the coming years. Pain Killers are a serious problem in the NFL(USA in General), the arguments for Marijuana keep growing.

He's already been in the CFL and got released and sat a year. Talent keeps giving him opportunities and allow him to keep making a living at this time, but he's not even on the radar of the NFL right now as a two strike player on the substance abuse policy. By next NFL season he will be 28, already out of school longer than the average NFL career. Here's to hoping he has a good year and begins figuring out that question every player has to face at some point, life after the game.

I read that he recently worked out for an NFL team. Maybe some scout that saw his potential will watch his production. The first thing he has to do is make Winnipeg's roster, then he needs to produce.

This whole discussion seems rather silly. Allen is right, though. Brazill needs to first make the roster, then produce. After that, we'll see what happens.

The Bombers have two Bobcats in camp. Julian Posey was on the practice squad last year and is expected to be a starter this season: http://www.winnipegsun.com/2016/06/04/posey-wants-to-be-p...

The one thing working against them both is the CFL's limit on "international" players. They can't have more than 20 on their 44-man roster. http://www.cfl.ca/game-rule-ratio /

Looks like Lavon didn't make it with Winnipeg. He isn't listed on their roster. http://www.bluebombers.com/roster / Too bad. Hope he lands somewhere else.

Winnipeg's opening game included contributions from Bobcats, tho. Posey had four tackles for the Bombers and Chip Cox had six tackles and an INT for Montreal. He picked off our old friend Drew Willy.

Yep, here I was psychic. You don't miss the he time Lavon has missed and just step back in. Sad, but very rare that kind of time off pays dividends. By now he's probably got poor representation as well to sell him to management.

About half the players on CFL rosters have to be Canadian citizens at the time they signed their first contract, so that puts American players at a disadvantage. An American guy like Brazill might have been better than some Canadian players but the team had to keep enough Canadian players to reach the minimum.

Football is difficult to play professionally because there really aren't many leagues that offer a decent wage, whereas in basketball, there are hundreds of international leagues where players can be paid very well.
