Great news. Coach Solich has been upgrading the program academically in his decade here in Athens. Early on he took probably too many gambles questionable students, who had had great athletic potential. He's not doing that much anymore and has been recruiting smarter and hard-working students, who put in the effort in the classroom. This is always good news as we are an academic institution first. He's also recruited some fine athletes too. Way to go 'Cats!
I believe he came to Ohio as a place he could recruit student/athletes that he would be enjoy spending years of his life with and could be proud of his part of their development as young men vs Oh, I guess, what Monroe desires.
Good to be back in bizarro land where there is nothing but total and 100% reverence for our coaches. (Hey, how's that Trump thing working out for you INCREDIBLE TREMENDOUS AMAZING)
What evidence is there that there were academic 'situations' with ouR players before Solich came on?
Good to know that Solich was hired first and foremost to boost the academic mission and to spend time with student/athletes that he would enjoy spending time with.
I was under the mis-impression that academically suitable student/athletes IS a minimal, baseline assumption and that he was brought in to win MAC championship...and that he has been provided significant resources toward that goal of MAC championship.
