Actually, it does BTC. It's in a private vehicle, though, and not a shuttle bus. But, my wife is happy so I'm happy.

As much as I'd love to take credit OCF, after all, that is a BA classic, but Bsquared owns that one.

Great job BS

Game is on SEC tv at noon.

When I bought my ticket today, the ticket office guy said they have 2000 tickets and expect to sell 900-1000. Sounds reasonable to me, but wish it were more.

That makes at least four games on national satellite/cable channels. The Kansas game will be on FSN and the Toledo and Buffalo games will be on CBSSN. At least one of the last two games in Nov should be on ESPN2 or U.

Hey Robert Fox - with this 12 noon start for the UT game, give us some suggestions. I was hoping for a 3:30 or 7 start but alas it's the dreaded noon kickoff.

Working on a possible lead to get a bar on the UT strip devoted to Ohio fans. Have buddy with a buddy... I'll update as soon as possible.

I think Tennessee is playing a game the week before OUr game at Bristol Motor Speedway. I would imagine THAT will be a Trumpfest.

Robert's post made me wonder, is the Tennessee tailgate scene more of a bar crowd and less parking lot?

Yep, the Vol Navy is a really big deal and a much better way to get to the game than a shuttle bus.

Yes, the Vol Navy will be rockin that time of year. It's a great way to go to the game, but not real practical for out-of-towners. There's a huge tailgate presence around Neyland. So to answer your question, it's more a tailgate scene than a bar scene. I'm looking into both options.

For those interested, last year the 110 warmed up at Maryville High School. I'd like to find out if they plan a repeat of that. Maryville is about 25 minutes south of Neyland.

Is the band coming for sure this year? Sure hope so - that would be a icing on the cake for what is proving to be a great time in Knoxville.

Seen the boat thing before, forgot that was Tennessee. Very cool. I can't imagine one SEC road game that wouldn't be great for our fans.

Obviously, there are lots of reasons we'd love to bring in P5 teams to Peden, but man can you imagine how much some (all) of these fanbases would love a weekend trip to Athens, even though most would probably have to end up staying in CBUS hotels.

Don't know, Alan. I hope so. They seem to have a connection with Maryville High School as after their last visit, the Maryville High School Orchestra visited Athens.

And as Robert will tell you - Maryville rhymes with Louisville.

Both concepts, the Vol Navy, and Husky Harbor, would really get me more into tailgating. The idea of arriving by boat, and cooking off the back, while in the middle of a flotilla, is awesome. I'd never heard of these until now, but I looked up a little on the Vol Navy. I'd say based on the reading that a non-local would do fine in the middle of the Vol Navy if they were friendly, had plenty of food & beer to share, and arrived very, very early.

Another place that I've been (not this specific one) is Calhoun's BBQ, which is outstanding. Looks like they have a set of docks where one might be able to take in a little of the Vol Navy from the shore.

Now I'm thinking about going!

This is a great paragraph from the protocol link:

We host yachts as large as 110 feet long to 4′ kayaks. Be mindful of that if you need to be next to the docks and plan accordingly. Larger boats must arrive as early as possible to secure dock side mooring. Some begin arriving as early as Tuesday of game week.

Yes, Calhoun's has a location right on the waterfront. Very nice waterfront dining, but it will be jammed that day, so be prepared. Of course, the earlier start might make it a little less crowded. The Vol Navy will form a flotilla between Neyland Stadium and Calhoun's. With the early start, I suspect it will begin filling up on Friday night. On game day, the marina's around here virtually empty out as the bigger boat's make their way to Neyland.

I am in - bought 6 tickets this week from Stub Hub - paid like 18 a piece.

I am a fairly recent grad, so I intend on bringing friends from my years as well as current Bobcats.

The Marching 110 is 100% going - it is on their schedule.

Let's all stay in the loop about tailgate best practices....

Sorry I don't know how to post links but Bleacher Report has the game on 9/17 at Tennessee at the #4 game on their list of non-conference trap games this year.

I'm planning on making this game. I'm assuming Tennesse has a great tailgating scene. Is there a specific parking lot that Ohio fans should shoot for?
Anyone have access to a good size boat so we can visit the Volunteer Navy?
