Where do you guys set up to tailgate? Is there a lot that is best? Tailgreat park worth the cost of tent rental or should we just find our own place? Thanks. Go Cats!

The grass lot is nice if you prefer grassy open area to tailgate. if you want shade and don't want to spring for a big tent, then the Convo lot is nice, but doesn't have as much space to spread out.

There will be a large lot filled with RV's up on the ridges, I'd try that environment out, lots of food, red solo cups, Bobcat flags flying high and corn hole games everywhere.

Here's how Tennessee handles RVs.

RV parking is available at the Civic Coliseum and the Blackstock Street lot, located behind the Foundry at the North World's Fair area. The cost is $25 per day, with room for approximately 100 RVs and hookups for 20. Security is provided at the Coliseum site beginning Friday after 3 p.m. KAT Shuttle service to Neyland Stadium is available. Call (865) 215-8900 for more information.

Did anyone catch changes this year for traffic flow? They want non-OBC members to enter from Stimpson Avenue and follow signs to mystery game day parking. South Green Drive immediately in front of Peden Stadium is closed off as a pedestrian zone. I recommended that for food trucks.

So cost aside, the distance to the stadium, and the center of the activity isn't really very close at all.

The area between the Aquatic Center and Clippinger is nice. Lots of shade and grass, and you get some pre-pre-game entertainment from the 110, which will assemble there before heading over to the stadium. You can't pull a vehicle in (unless you have an orange lot pass and snag one next to the area, or can get there early and grab a spot right behind Clippinger), but it works fine if you have a pop-up or canopy.

So anyone can just pop up a canopy there? You don't have to have a pass or anything? Thanks for your responses.

The OUPD/APD/Sheriff's Dept assemble next to Walter Hall, so if it was against the rules there are plenty of law enforcement officers there to shut it down. I've been tailgating over there for 3 years or so, and I've never seen them kick someone out for it, so I'd take it as a good sign that it's OK. Closing down South Green Drive right there too would be a signal to me that they want people coming to the stadium from that area.
