Last week (Thurs) on Dan Patrick's radio/video show, he stated a definite fondness for MACtion. Said he loves college football and the MAC has often fun games which filled up evenings with otherwise no football.

He grew up around Dayton is my understanding, so his o-pinion may be shaped by those local ties.

According to Wikipaedia, his real name is Dan Pugh, he was born in Zanesville 60 years ago, grew up in Mason, attended WKU then transferred to Dayton.

I think the MAC has, for the most part, high quality football. The MACtion games help bridge the gap between MLB every day of the week and b-ball every day of the week.

When I lived in Dayton during the early 80s, he was half of WTUE-FM's morning team of Curry and Pugh. He did the news reports and was mostly straight man to partner Jeff Curry's bits. If I remember correctly, he left WTUE for a gig with CNN and that's when he switched to Dan Patrick.

I too grew up in the Zanesville area - Dan is my second cousin, and yes my Mom's maiden name is Pugh. Go Bobcats from Milwaukee!
