This was a problem all day yesterday. ALL. EFFING. DAY. And it finally burned us on the last play. GW and our punters were constantly fielding low snaps and short hops.

Yup...as a true counterpoint to those who rely on the stats to judge that the O-line had a rather good day.

On a tangent, it looked like we could have blocked TX State's punt almost any time we wanted to. It looked like we did get a small hand on one punt.

Such a block could easily have been a game-changer.

We made the same observation yesterday. The punt rush was getting close without a lot of effort in rushing the punter. If we aren't going to try to block the punt, I don't know why we send anyone at all. Those players could back up and block on the return instead.

It's a good thing Brian Haines is such a great recruiting coordinator, or else he would really need to be concerned about his job security.

Huge concern all day - burned us at the end.

OTOH - Many 3rd and short to go - And not a single snap under Center????? That much lack of confidence in this supposedly great O Line?
