He is "so very sad" A.J. and Davis are playing. Really, did he just post that?

So that was not your meaning? Be so very glad to have gotten that wrong.

No I was referring to Billythecat being sad because I said AJ was not the best running back on the team. He equated that to me dissing him. I love what AJ brings, I think we have a great group of running backs. As far as Toran Davis, I hope he has a good year, I stateted that based on his performance last year that he should have to compete for his position this year. It seems he is off to a good start.

With everything I saw yesterday, I have no doubt that AJ is our best back. Is it a coincidence that the drive he gets injured on ends in a costly fumble? AJ NEVER puts the ball on the ground.

+1

By far. Looking back, this game was over the second AJ got hurt.

Then, the season must be over until he returns.

That's preposterous.

I didn't see any of the game, so I can't comment on that, other than that I spent all last year arguing that AJ was the best back. Now we'll see Dorian and Maleek play this year, and see if they can grow into the position. Both have a lot of talent.

I think losing AJ so early rattled the team and they never recovered. It is going to be a loooong season.

AJ is key in games against Texas State type opponents. We needed him stabilize everything in offense. Losing him right away to start off a new season is a lunch to the gut. We didn't have time to recover and the weakness of our other RBs was exposed as we saw with the Irons fumble. I never felt like our offense was capable once AJ went to the locker room. (Also didn't help that Smith was injured too. Ugh)

That said, with a week of game planning I feel it'll go better with just Brown and Irons in there.

sigh...here we go with the laying performance off to injuries....are we really going to, ultimately, give a free pass--again--because of injuries
