This is a question for the many of you who are more knowledgable and in-tune with the OU football program than I am ...

Overall, is the program recruiting as well as we have in the past? I'm left with the impression we are not. I don't base this opinion only on the result of the Texas St. game, but over the past couple of seasons as well.

Again, I know there are those here with a more informed opinion, so I'd like to hear them. And if recruiting has not been as strong, why not?

Are we recruiting well? Depends on who you're asking. Monroe will give you one opinion and Bcat2 the total opposite opinion.

The play on the field yesterday tells me Ohio has not recruited well of late in terms of 2- and 3-star players.

We have two fantastic QB's coming in, one is out for the season on a cheap shot while scoring a touchdown, both are athletic, both have arm strength and make good decisions. I think they will be great, we may need to add one more since we only have 3 and Duckwoth does not fit into the equation. The safeties look good as well. I am impressed by what we are doing on that front. There is nor reason why we should not be able to get stud corners, especially if we keep giving up so many points. The scheme is way too conservative and needs to change. The cover four is like a prevent defense. Once you get studs, you attack. The wide receiver we have our very good. We had a lot of good lineman come in last year both offensive and defensive. Expect All-Mac contributions from Robbins and others in the future. The running back position is stacked and Emmuele if he can improve his speed will contribute in the futur. The offense is too predictable. We probably could use younger offensive coordinator aid. The defensive back coach has to come up with better shemes and more man coverage. We have to be more diciplined. When you have corners that are not playing well, you should be ble to go into a recruits living room and explain that there is a chance for immediate playing time and a plan to improve their speed and tecnigue over a few years to get them drafted. If we get less than that we need recruiters. The same for the tight end position, we should have studs coming in next year. The staff is great at identifying linebackers, not really worrid about that.
