Okay. Then whose fault is that?

56 points (in 3 OT's but no ability to stop at crucial moments)

I thought I very clear. I don't think the defensive coaches had a good plan for this game, and I have my doubts about this defense in general. Maybe it's just me, getting older, liking to see things done "the old way", but the have been games like this that leave me scratching my head. Still, the game is changing, so I understand that the coaches need to gamble on new things sometimes, but there are certainly times I wish they were more conservative.

Monroe needs to play the blame game. Never credit to Texas State. Hugely important that every negative gets pinned to someone. Wish he could spend half the time dissecting how A.J. gets 40 on a run or Papi gets 75.

No. I need to make an objective analysis and hold someone responsible (credit or blame).

Favored by 21, TX State largely stocked by early underclassmen, outweighed by 70 lbs a man by our O-line, etc, etc.

We lost 54-56.

But your getting those deck chairs on the big ship arranged so nicely.

Remember: We've already established that you have no credibility at this stage.

Solich in a rarity admitted in the Athens Messenger that it was up to "us coaches" to make adjustments when getting burned with the same thing again and again. If the personnel to play cover 4 is not there modify the coverage or go with a different scheme.

Ohio’s young secondary — which featured four first-time contributors at corner — is partly to blame. So too was the Bobcats’ game plan, which featured plenty of soft coverage designed to limit the chances that Texas State could beat Ohio over the top.

Instead, Texas State keep taking yards 8-12 yards at a time.

“Even though we did get six sacks, when you throw the ball fifty five times and complete 73 percent of them, you got problems,” Solich said.

“Some of it comes back to young guys adjusting, playing the game. Some of it comes back to us as coaches and finding ways to help guys out on the field whenever we are getting hurt with the same thing time and time again,” he said.

I'm unaware of any case where you've ever given anyone credit. Instead, after a good game you seem to vanish from the board, and don't post for awhile.

Incorrect. At odds with the facts.

In contrast, I'm unaware of you ever admitting that we flat out played some thorough-going stinkeroos and that the coaching staff is significantly responsible for that (be it recruiting, practices to prevent injuries, poor strategy, failure to react when what we're doing keeps failing, etc, etc).

Here, you're discussing a game which you say that you didn't listen to or watch. Here, by mere statistics without context or vision and feeling for how it transpired, you're giving us expertise.

Yeah, we might turn out to have a fine year. And TX State may turn out to be a good team. But as of the moment, as a 21 overdog we lost to what appears to be one of the most inexperienced and physically over-matched teams to ever visit Peden.

Can you read? The threads are pretty much people now saying what I've been saying for about three years. This coaching staff is mediocre.

Have I paid a lot of people to say this? Or did they see a stinker on Saturday...one that they're beginning to put in the context of a whole lot of big horrible losses over the last 3.5 years.
