Tennessee will be #15 in both coaches polls, the first time Ohio has played a ranked opponent in a few years. Ohio as we know has never defeated a ranked team. There is a rare chance this year of having shots against multiple ranked teams with CMU #36 AP and Toledo #43 Coaches may be in the Top 25 by the time the Bobcats play them. Then a possible ranked WMU in the MAC Championship. Frank can imaginably go for the 2fer; a Top 25 win and a MACC victory.

I would love to know the basis for your profound optimism. We beat a team that hasn't won an FBS game since 2014 and now you're looking ahead to beating two against ranked teams? I'm glad we won last week, but I've seen nothing to indicate that this team will even be competitive in Knoxville.

.

Not predicting a win. Though, using App State, a kind of recent opponent as a gauge, I think Ohio can be competitive. Tenn scored 20 on App State, Ohio managed 29. Problem is App State scored 31 on Ohio, but, could only manage 13 vs Tenn. Tenn trailed Va Tech until the Tenn D recovered 5 Va Tech fumbles, three unforced. This is worth about as much as a Vegas line, 0.

Is that true? Ohio has never beaten a ranked team? I was not aware of that. I would have guessed it happened several times in the program's history.

We can win, if we contain the run and put 25 on the board, both are doable. We do have to overcome weak kickoffs and inconsistent corner play. This is a winnable game. The big guys will have to win it for us on both lines.

Peyton Manning would wander around grocery stores in his bathrobe if Tennessee lost to Ohio.

There isn't optimism. It's factual we play a Top 25 opponent next week. Toledo and CMU could be ranked by the time we play them. MAC title game could be against a ranked opponent. All I said is we have a shot an opportunity this year to play against a few ranked opponents and perhaps take down a Top 25 team for the first time.

Optimism? He didn't even predict anything. He literally just stated the scenario.

You graduate in 71?
