BCAT, believe it or not I agree with you! In looking at the stats, it is obvious we moved the ball. The problem was penalties AND they moved the ball a lot too. I do think our stats may be a bit misleading. Like an 80 yard pass to put us ahead near the end. Same with runs, we had a couple big plays that probably got us over 100 yards combined. Bottom line, I thought we would move the ball with 10-12 play drives.

I think the tone for the day was set in the first quarter...dropped TD pass on the first play and two FGs.

And, this is for L.C., I am not sure we have those best players ever at OHIO right now that you talk about. Not much talent difference in these two teams which is why we could not put them away. So, again to the staff, get MORE and BETTER players! The current philosophy of under the radar and walk on guys HAS NOT and WILL NOT win a MACC. Or, structurally can we just not get those kinds of guys to Athens. They appear to go to BG, or Kalamazoo, or DeKalb, WHY NOT OHIO?

If we lose to Kansas Monroe you'll be up to 0 ( or is that loose).

But they are points scored in a game. On the other hand, if they did follow your suggestion then they shouldn't include any other statistics from overtime either.

This sounds like many frosty beverage type discussions I have heard 😄

What's scary to think about is how we may give up 40+ to a team that lost 77-10 today.

I think it's a more realistic comparison to use points in regulation. You can't count on OT for every game, and some teams won't play OT all season long. Kent scored only 17 pts in regulation last week, but wound up with 36 for the game. Which are they more likely to get in a four-quarter game this season: 17 or 36?

But even then, we're averaging 37.5 pts in regulation this year, which is not bad at all.
