Yep. Yesterday meant next to nothing. Ohio will be in Detroit.

If we were in the West, I'd say there's no chance of winning the MAC. That division is way tougher than the East.

5-3 with a win over Bowling Green could get us to Detroit. I'm glad we draw BG and Akron at home.

We play 12-14 games. To say that yesterday meant little is a bit like Cleopatra.

We can win the MAC, WIndham needs to gets his nerves under contol.Brendan Cope needs to be used more. He is very fast, probably top ten in the nation with good hands. We need to throw accurate deep balls to open up our run game. AJ, Irons and Brown are studs and Papi is a manchild. We need to throw tight end pops to soften up the middle. The next three games the coaches need to coach Windham and take risk. Let's show him we have confidence in him and see what he can do. Windham, calm down brother, you belong. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Make it happen.Lets go cats.

Cope did not play! He was on the sideline in sweat pants and jersey for Saturday's game.

Does anyone know why? Was he injured in practice? Or, was he being disciplined? He's one of my favorite players.

OK...OK. I was completely disappointed with the loss but now The Optimist is slowly getting me back to thinking we have a shot at improving each week and still winning the East AND being a really good team going into the MACC. Stop that! Stop it! I prefer misery after losing to the UT Longhorn SR Team.

At the end of the day, I still bleed green and can't help myself. Haven't cancelled my hotel reservations for Homecoming yet.

OCF, Cope has a hamstring issue. He should be available at Kansas unless things don't go well this week.

Thanks. Glad to hear that. Hope he heals quickly, though I know hamstrings sometimes can take a while.

Going into the season I thought the worst we would be in Sept was 2-2, with wins over TxSt and G-W. Now, 1-3 is a real possibility. But the last time we were 1-3 in Sept. was 2010. That year we finished 6-2 in the MAC, lost a shot at the MACCG with a loss at Kent in the last game of the season, and were 8-5 overall. A lot can happen over the next 11 games.

If the 1st 3 games of the season are any indication, at least as far as the MAC East is concerned, it appears it could be a 2 horse race between Akron and Ohio. Buffalo could be in the mix. BGSU appears to have digressed after getting throttled today.

But the MACC? Eh , WMU or Toledo might have something to say about that.

Ohio will be in Detroit for the MACC. Book it, count it, bet on it. I'm not worried about who it'll be against.

I root for Ohio.

But I do it with an eye for the reasonable truth.

Got a problem with that?

Analyze my millions of posts and tell me if, like them or not, they are mostly accurate.

I don't know the rest of the teams in the MAC this year. So, I'm judging mostly by scores. We have a good chance of winning the East (it's weak) but not a huge shot of winning the championship.

Have you ever played or coached a down of football?
