Congrats to Kurtis Rourke, who finished in the top ten for the Heisman (9th place)! What an awesome achievement to cap off a remarkable college career. He even received two first place votes.

Agree, College football will miss the Rourke brothers. Ohio was incredibly blessed to have these (2) talented kids from Canada. Hopefully this beautiful campus will draw future talents with a chip on their shoulder.

Just curious, how will college football miss them? College football is full of players being replaced every year.

I'd say the Rourkes were blessed as well. We were their only offers.

Good for Kurtis and all but there is a distinct difference between he and Nathan. Kurtis won us some games and I truly hope he will have a great NFL career. I root for Indiana because of him. But the dude left us before a Bowl game and never looked back so I choose to not look back. I will spend my time propping up Nathan above all as he stayed a Bobcat.

Sigh...he didn't say college football was doomed without them. They were both excellent college players that provided enjoyment to many.

You're entitled to your feelings. I'm a massive Rourke (Kurtis and Nathan) fan and will remain so. There's also a distinct difference between the time of Kurtis's and Nathan's career. I'm not saying that Nathan would have left us as well, but the opportunities when Nathan were in school were vastly different, so it's hard to judge them the same. They graduated from OHIO, so they are alums. I'm no less an alum because I got post-graduate degrees from other universities. I'm happy for Kurtis and think it's an awesome accomplishment. I'll be cheering for him this weekend.

Kurtis left before the bowl game, because he had to do so. It's not his fault the NCAA has a shit schedule.

Big names have to jump in before Dec. 28 or they miss the whole wave.

Keep in mind that, while Nathan did not leave Ohio, he did leave BC, and tried to make the NFL, because it was his dream, and because he would make more money. If the portal had existed in his time, I have to presume that he would have taken whatever course of action that he thought would have made achieving his dream more likely. Remember, Kurtis is making more in NIL than Nathan has ever made in his career. Do you not think Nathan would have jumped at the chance to do the same?

I like both Kurtis and Nathan, and think both were not only great quarterbacks, but great people. I root for both of them to succeed. I think Kurtis has a better chance of making the NFL than Nathan, because he is the stronger passer, though less mobile. Meanwhile, I think Nathan will continue to excel in the CFL.

While I appreciate what both did for Ohio, keep in mind that neither was able to win a MACC game for Ohio, whereas Parker Navarro was the man.

Neither did I, in fact, I used the exact same verbiage, “miss”. Only person who used the word “doomed” was you.

Love Kurtis and hope they win it all! I put him in the VanderPlas category of modern Bobcat legends who moved on.

Interesting note is only 2 out of the Top 10 in the Heisman started and finished their careers in a Power Conference.

Weird that Kurtis Rourke is getting a Pass...must be just another one of those totally Random Coincidences.

Heck he even left before the Bowl game.
